about this project

The US Embassy for Peace (USEP);  a US 501(c)3 Public Charity, as part of the Learn America Do America (LADA) Program, has commenced plans for the development of  a “Clean energy” LADA Demonstration Centre Abuja;

A Demonstration Centre will showcase US Public Diplomacy, Aid, Business and Education through Renewable Energy Resources.

The structures will accommodate the  Administrative and Residential components of American Community Business Center (ACBC), American Mentee training Schools (AMTS) and offering of leasehold ownership for the Diplomatic Business Suites (DBS) within the International Mentorship Facility Abuja (IMFA) at Plot 181 C00 at the Federal Capital City Abuja Nigeria.

The Chief Mentorship Officer, Amb. Chika Sylva-Olejeme will be in Kansas City, Missouri on September 12th and 13th to attend The U.S. Commercial Service's Building Bridges to Global Markets and discuss that project with Director Joshua Kaplan of Kansas City Field Office U.S. Commercial Service, International Trade Administration   U.S. Department of Commerce

USEP is currently liaising with The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) for the Bank’s Engineering Multiplier Program (EMP) which is designed to generate additional exports of U.S. goods and services overall (the "multiplier effect"), since the foreign buyer is more likely to procure U.S. equipment and construction services for a project for which U.S. engineers, designers, architects, and environmental analysts undertook the feasibility study, design and other pre-project work.

The EXIM/EMP will finance feasibility studies, pre-construction design, engineering, architectural and environmental services undertaken prior to commencement of the implementation phase of a physical project, supporting the award of major equipment supply and construction contracts and development of technical and environmental & social information that required to facilitate EXIM’s future consideration of requests to support the implementation of foreign projects. These services must support projects that have the potential of generating subsequent U.S. export orders of at least double the amount of the original pre-export service contract(s), or $10 million, whichever is greater. https://www.exim.gov/solutions/loan-guarantee/emp
